Introducing the Nike Hypervenom II
The way football is played changes faster than it takes Gareth Bale to storm down the side of a pitch. And the way football equipment is designed in the presents reflects the fast-paced and ever-evolving nature of the modern game. When it was introduced, the Nike Hypervenom was created for today's striker: one who not only relies on shot power and accuracy, but possesses deadly agility to best opposing defenders.
With that in mind, the Hypervenom II's design promises to be a natural progression in that line of thinking. Instead of the honeycomb texture found on the first model, the new Hypervenom sports an enhanced mesh and NikeSkin upper with Flywire that works to optimize ball control and to lock down the foot to prevent any slippage. In addition to the upper's big redesign, the Hypervenom II sports a Flyknit collar to create the feeling of the shoe being one with the foot. But if you're not feeling the high-top look, versions without the collar will be available as well.
In terms of on-pitch support, expect to see footballers such as Neymar, Wayne Rooney, Edinson Cavani, Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane and Alex Morgan lace up the Nike Hypervenom II. The boots will go on sale before the end of May through the Nike Football app as well as stockists like Pro Direct Soccer. Expect local Nike Football retailers such as BootCamp to get them in as well.
