The Sneaker I Want to See Less of in 2015
When a sneaker becomes popular, you can expect the brand behind the model to pump out colorway after colorway until the shoe gets run into the ground. Those in the know have seen it happen dozens of times before with tons of sneakers. With the spirit of Christmas in full swing, I might as well take some time out to write a little sneaker-related Christmas wish, and that's to see less of the Nike Roshe Run in 2015.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Roshe Run and what it stands for - an affordable, comfortable lifestyle runner. It slowly gained traction after a quiet initial release a couple of years ago, but after countless colorways and material change-ups, I'm left with thinking the Roshe has run its course. If it's as much a modern classic as what myself and other bloggers and writers in the sneaker community love to hail the Roshe Run as, then it should be treated as one. Instead of new colors season after season, it would be nice to see one or two "essential" looks available all year round. When you only have a couple of colorways in the market, there's less model fatigue, and it gives Roshe collectors more incentive to hold on to their shoes.
What shoe would you like to see less of next year? Let me know in the comments section!

Reebok Presents: Kendrick Lamar - I am
After a bit of speculation, the spot makes it official. Reebok partners up with Kendrick Lamar for a spot that shows the Compton rapper back in his neighborhood, spitting some bars and musings on inspiration and being a figure worth looking up to. His last album garnered rave reviews and his next album is easily one of the more anticipated records of next year. But could a possible sneaker collaboration be on the way? Only time will tell. But for now, check out the spot below and let me know what you think about this new partnership.

Sneakers That Should Have a Big Year in 2015
To say 2014 was another good year for sneakers is a huge understatement. Jordan Brand brought back the Air Jordan 6 to huge fanfare. The FIFA World Cup was the stage for the introduction of new football shoe technology that slowly found life off the pitch. Nike in general had another good year, but Adidas surprised many with a number of strong releases and hirings that gives the German footwear giants good momentum to challenge The Swoosh for sneaker supremacy in 2015.
Talking about the sneaker highlights and best releases of 2014 is a pretty expansive topic of conversation all on its own. And with the remaining releases of the year pretty laid out, it's time to look forward to some shoes that are looking poised to hit it big in 2015.

Adidas SL Loop Runner Moc
Since its introduction earlier this year, the Adidas SL Loop employs Adidas' winning formula of revisiting classic sneakers from the brand's archives and updating them with contemporary design techniques. While the SL Loop may not have garnered as much buzz as the ZX Flux, designs and variations have steadily found their way into retail. The newest SL Loop to make the internet rounds is this Moccasin-inspired rendition. The added desert boot elements mix well with the silhouette for a rugged-yet-refined look. Premium suede construction dials in the sophistication factor, and the criss-cross lacing system is a nice touch. The Adidas webstore already has them in stock (the wheat colorway is pretty sick too), but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for these to find their way into local Adidas retail shops.

A Groundbreaking Moment in Nike Basketball History Will Be Happening
Nike Basketball recently sat down with last year's NBA League MVP Kevin Durant to get his thoughts on wearing signature shoes, his workout ethic, and how it all ties back to the game. The date "12.3.14" flashes towards the end of the clip, followed by an event invitation to catch a Facebook live stream of a major Nike Basketball event happening in New York City.
In line with the buildup to event, Nike Basketball also released a clip of Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant sharing his thoughts on what makes a good signature shoe. A huge Nike Basketball event, videos of the brand's highest-profile ballers talking about signature shoes? Your guess is as good as mine.

Nike Football "Shine Through" Collection
Inspired by the energy and atmosphere of New Year's Eve celebrations in Brazil, Nike Football drops another vibrant collection of football cleats to close out the year. This time around, predominantly white uppers serve as the backdrop for bright pops of color on Nike's four flagship football shoes - the Mercurial Superfly, HyperVenom Phantom, Magista Obra, and Tiempo Legend V. The entire collection is available for pre-order on the Nike Football app and will be available on the Nike website from December 3. Footballers in the Philippines won't have to wait too long to get their feet in a pair as some styles from collection have already found their way into BootCamp.
More looks after the jump.
