Nike Dropped More Shoes Celebrating Kobe Bryant's Career.

With all the stuff that went down the past weekend, you might have heard of basketball player named Kobe Bryant. You know, the Los Angeles Lakers guard whose career spanned 20 seasons, 5 rings, and 60points in his last NBA game? 

Well, in celebration of Kobe Bryant's visit to Manila this weekend, Nike released a special limited edition Nike Kobe XI Elite Low that commemorates his 20 year career.

Dubbed as the Kobe XI "Great Career Recall," the shoe sports a black dominant upper with gold accents and a gold swoosh. A plain white outsole finishes the shoe on the bottom. 

The Kobe XI Elite Low colorway seen here is exclusive only to the Philippines and China. He debuted it on his first day of the Mamba Mentality Tour today at the Ususan Basketball Court in Taguig City. A limited run is available in Manila, retailing at Php 9895 at Nike Park, BGC.

He did it. Lebron and the Cavs became the first time to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the NBA finals, erasing both the Warriors' historic season and decades of heartbreak for Cleveland sports fans. And he did most of the work in the Nike Lebron Soldier 10, the latest in the Lebron takedown line.

Sporting a stretch lined upper, responsive Zoom Air cushioning, and three distinct lockdown straps, the Solider 10 is no budget baller model. If King James can go all in and bring a title to Cleveland in them, you'll be able to do some great stuff on the court too.

The Nike Lebron Solider 10 will drop on Nike ID for a limited time only on June 21.

Neymar Jr. x Jordan Collection

In the years that have passed since Michael Jordan's first signature shoe came out, the Jumpman has evolved from a silhouette into a full-brown brand. While basketball will always be the brand's bread & butter, we've seen footwear and apparel for other sports such as baseball, golf, running,  and even athletic training.

If you've been living under a rock for the past few years, Neymar Jr. is a footballing phenom. He plays for FC Barcelona the one of the biggest football clubs in the world, as well as the Brazilian national team. He's also only in his early twenties and it turns out, he loves the Air Jordan 5.

The Air Jordan 5 is 1 of 2 shoes that anchors the Neymar Jr. x Jordan collaboration - the first time a non-Jordan athlete has collaborated with the brand, as well as the first time we'll get to see Jordan gear out on the pitch. Picture above is an Air Jordan 5 low done up in the signature 3M reflective material, while both the number "23" and "10" (a nod to Neymar's number with the Brazilian National team) can be found on the upper as well.

Rounding out the collection is a special colorway of the Hypervenom Phantom II in grass, turf and indoor versions. If you're digging it, a part of the collection will release on June 9 at select retailers such as Titan.

Nike Kobe 11 x Mark Parker "Muse Pack"

Kobe Bryant may have played his last game in the NBA a little over a month ago, but the colorways of his latest (and probably last on-court) signature shoe are still hitting shelves. The latest to drop is part of the "Muse Pack" - a mini-collection of Kobe 11s designed by 3 of the biggest personalities in Nike history. This is is designed by Nike CEO Mark Parker and draws inspiration from the animal Kobe likens himself to - The Black Mamba.

With less than 20 games to go before Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant calls it quits on his storied career, Nike Basketball is pulling out one last hurrah to honor #24. Spanning all of Kobe's signature Nikes as well as the shoes he's been associated with ever since signing with The Swoosh, The Black Mamba Pack will be a must have for any Kobe fan. Introducing the Nike Hyperdunk 2016

Ever since Nike introduced Flyknit, it was only a matter of time before the brand would go hard with it. Thanks to Kobe Bryant's signature shoe line, we've gotten glimpses of how Flyknit kicks work on the hardwood. But never quite like this.

The Hyperdunk is a staple of the Nike Basketball footwear range. And despite a few clunkers in terms of looks over the years, the line always seems to pack the brand's latest innovations right in a pair of shoes. This year, the Hyperdunk goes the way of the Magista and the Koston 3 by utilizing a full Flyknit sock tuned for stretch, lockdown and breathability, while staple technologies such as Flywire and Zoom Air will keep hoop heads happy. Rounding off the shoe is an advanced herringbone outsole for beastly traction on the court.

If you're not feeling the Flyknit upper, Engineered mesh versions of the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 will be out as well, available globally beginning in July.

Nike Introduces the KD9

Nike recently held an event they called the Innovation Summit, which is pretty much a gathering to show off the coolest shoes and gear the brand has in the works. While many of the things unveiled garnered their share of buzz, few were as talked about as the Nike KD9. Built for the versatile game of Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant, the KD9 is the first shoe in the KD line to incorporate Flyknit construction engineered down to the pixel. Other features include a tapered Zoom Air unit and anatomical flex grooves to heighten natural motion. The game of basketball has changed, and it's time for shoes to change with it.

Watch for the KD9 to hit Nike Basketball retailers on June 20.

adidas Originals Tubular Defiant Color Contrast Pack

When adidas Originals dropped the first ever wave of Tubulars, they wouldn't stay on shelves long enough. Now, more and more designs featuring the technology have started to release, with each silhouette bringing sleek looks ready for the street. The latest set to release is the Tubular Defiant. With its heavy 22oz canvas construction and a good chunk of rubber done up in sharply contrasting colorway, these Defiants manage to skillfully toe the line between high fashion and high street.

As the NBA season starts to wind down, the grind of the playoffs begins to kick into second gear. With each game bearing more weight, Nike equips their signature stars with gear made to bear the intensity of the post-season. The first shoe to be unveiled is the Nike KD8 Elite. Designed by Leo Chang, it isn't hard to see that the shoe can be pretty bold in its design. With a silhouette that extends way past the shin, the KD8 Elite blurs the lines between basketball shoe, sock and compression tight.

The in-game benefits may be plenty, but really though, good luck putting them on the first time.

If you haven't noticed lately, adidas Originals has been killing it by introducing new designs and technologies to models and concepts from the brand's storied shoe archive. One of those has been the Tubular, which has been making waves with each release. This time around, The Brand with The Three Stripes has unveiled an all-new silhouette just for the ladies that fuses sleek design, great quality, and a sick look - The adidas Originals Tubular Viral.

If you've been paying attention to fashion in the past year, you might have heard of Gosha Rubchinskiy. With his clothes seen on style icons and probably your favorite rappers, his post-Soviet take on streetwear has been blowing up. Seen here is a small collection done in collaboration with Vans for SS 2016. The Authentic is the silhouette of choice this time around - with each colorway sitting on a black midsole with some Cyrillic text on the heel that probably says "I spent a little more than I should on a pair of Vans because I'm high fashion like that".

Under Armour Curry 2 "All Star"

Aside from Christmas, the NBA's All-Star weekend is a crazy time for sneakerheads. New silos get introduced, and sneakers packing serious heat drop left and right. And since the best players in the NBA are gonna be representing their teams and conferences throughout 3 days of action, it's pretty much assumed that players will be doing so in loud and over the top sneakers.

Nike dropped a pack for their signature athletes inspired by sport royalty. While Adidas looked to the Aurora Borealis as a theme for their All-Star sneakers. But if you ask me, the best looking sneaker to drop this entire weekend is Steph Curry's "All-Star" editon Curry 2. Decked out in a white upper with hits of red and gold, Steph Curry's sig stands out from the crowd of loud and over the top kicks you'll be seeing come the All-Star Game. Nike Air Force 1 Ultra Flyknit

 The Nike Air Force 1 holds revered status in sneaker culture. It's transcended seamlessly from hardwood to street fashion. Sneaker trends come and go, but a clean pair of Uptowns always looks good in any rotation. While it may seem like an insane idea to mess with such a legendary silhouette in any way, Nike brings it to the present by utilizing a combination of Flyknit and Flywire. Vans "Late Night" Pack

Sometimes, the best thing to do on a late night is to get some food. Taking inspiration from that, Vans decked out some of the brand's classic sneaker silhouettes in trippy prints of pizza, french fries and other sweets and treats that'll get you craving. adidas Originals NMD_R1 Primeknit

In the brief time the first adidas Originals NMD was on shelves, it made quite an impact. Taking design cues from the rich past of the adidas archive and mixing them with present day technologies and construction methods, the NMD is a shoe for the future. Adidas Ace16+ PureControl

Adidas Football made waves last year when the brand announced that it would be discontinuing iconic football boots such as the Predator to be replaced with what the brand saw as shoes for two types of players on the pitch. While the strategy has worked for most, it looks like the brand is going all in as they unveiled the next iteration of the Adidas Ace boots.

Made for players who like to control all aspects of the game, the Ace 16+ PureControl is a dynamic knitted boot with a high collar that might remind some of the Nike Magista. Adidas goes one step further by removing the laces to ensure only the purest of ball feel when it comes to both dribbling and striking. 2016 Nike Basketball BHM Collection

By this time, you know the drill. Every year, Nike Basketball rolls out a limited edition collection paying tribute to the achievements of black athletes worldwide. This year, the Nike Black History Month (BHM) Collection draws from a vibrant African-inspired color palette while mixing in some geometric detailing.

Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Classic Leather

Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar's collaborative effort with Reebok was one of the surprising releases of last year. Aside from the concept of uniting gang violence between the Crips and Bloods, last year's drop turned out some really sick looking shoes.
