At the start of the year, it looked like retro tennis shoes were going to be big in 2014. And judging by how well both the Adidas Stan Smith and the Nike Air Tech Challenge II were received by the public, it looks like it's gonna be a good year for fans of tennis sneakers of yesteryear.
The latest style set to make its return is the Adidas Rod Laver. Just like the Stan Smith, the signature shoe of the Aussie tennis legend keeps it simple. Hints of leather and mesh fabric comprise the upper, with just a bit of color at the heel to finish it off. Not only is it a great sneaker for the warmer months ahead, but the clean minimalist look they sport could rival those of designer label sneakers which are enjoying a surge in popularity as well.
Look for these to release sometime in April. Adidas Philippines, you guys brought back the Stan Smith. Now hopefully you could do us all a solid and bring these back too!
