Customize your own Adidas ZX Flux with the MiAdidas Photo Print App
Without a doubt, the Adidas ZX Flux is one of the hottest sneaker models to drop this year. Since its debut, this heritage-inspired lifestyle runner has earned a spot in the rotations of many sneakerheads for expertly straddling the line between fashion and function. So far, consumers have been exposed to both simple and neck-breaking colorways to suit a wide range of tastes. However, Adidas' latest announcement aims to not only give you a shoe that suits your personal style, but allows you to have a hand in designing it as well.
Sure, customizing your sneakers isn't anything new. But the usual options most sneaker brands give out to people looking to personalize a pair of kicks are limited to tweaking colors and adding lines of text.
Adidas recently announced a forthcoming app tied up with miadidas that allows you to upload photos and print them directly on the upper of the ZX Flux! The idea alone is really exciting considering how important the storytelling aspect of sneakers has become over the years. And the possibilities for inspiration are literally all around you. Just the mere thought of being able and take a photo of things like some amazing architecture, a beach scene, or some random pockets of city life and have them printed onto a shoe for the world to see is an idea that looks to seriously shake up the field of sneaker design.
And for the creative types, here's a golden opportunity flex your design prowess and showcase your work on a brand new canvas. Who knows, you just might be a few snaps away from being lumped in with the Ronnie Fiegs and Taka Hayashis of the world.
The ZX Flux Photo Print app looks to launch in August on both iOS and Android platforms. Prices are yet to be announced, but hopefully getting a shoe that's truly your own doesn't take the ZX Flux too far from its current price point.
What would you put on your ZX Flux?
