The Only Air Jordans to Look Out for this Holiday Season

With December less than a full month away, sneakerheads have learned to love and dread the onset of Christmas because of the amount of highly anticipated sneakers that will drop over the holiday. It's been a Jordan Brand tradition for a while now to release a crazy amount of Christmastime heat, and this year will be no different. So to help you plan you holiday shopping, I've compiled a list of the Air Jordans I feel are worth the time and effort copping over the holidays. Better start saving. And don't forget to get your loved ones some gifts, too.

Air Jordan 6 "Infrared" Expected Release Date - November 28, 2014

2014 marked the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan 6, the shoe MJ won his first NBA Championship in. With a number of strong releases over the course of this year, this original colorway is arguably the most anticipated one returning to retail. The shoe is expected to release on Black Friday, a drop date which gets the holiday season rolling.

Air Jordan XX9 "Blackout"
Expected Release Date - December 6, 2014

The latest in the Jordan signature line has seen a number of loud colorways since its release. But if you're the type who's looking for a no-fuss pair to ball in all year round for 2015, this is it.

Air Jordan 13 "Black/Red" Expected Release Date - December 13, 2014

Black and Red color combinations will always find a home on Air Jordan silhouettes. While this release is a little different from previous Air Jordan 13s sporting that mix of colors, the predominantly black upper ensures easy wear for the coming year and beyond.

Air Jordan 11 "Legend Blue"
Expected Release Date - December 20, 2014

The Big Kahuna. Whether you call them the Colombias or by their new "Legend Blue" nickname, the shoes Michael Jordan wore in the 1996 NBA All-Star Game last hit retail in 2001. With the emergence of white sneakers as a trend, these will fit right in. Out of everything on this list, these are the most desirable and will probably be the toughest to get. But hey, Christmas miracles do happen.

Fragment Design x Jordan Brand Air Jordan 1
Expected Release Date - December 27, 2014

Not a stranger to Nike collaborations, this Air Jordan 1 marks the first time Hiroshi Fujiwara's Fragment Design label works on a Jordan Brand Project. Essentially a different take on the classic "Black Toe" Air Jordan 1, red gets swapped out for Sport Royal Accents with some subtle Fragment Design branding thrown into the mix as well. Even when you look past the hype, you gotta concede how simple and cleanly executed they are.
