What to Give a Sneakerhead for Christmas

Chances are, you'll have at least one of them in your list of people to give gifts to. One could be your inaanak (godchild) looking for a new pair of shoes to play ball in. A friend of yours who always seems to be in a new pair of runners every time you hang out. Or your son/daughter who remembers Jordan release dates but draws blanks when it comes to your birthday. The point us, we all have sneakerheads in our families and amongst our loved ones, and they're a special group of people. So to make it easier on you this Christmas with all the other people you're bound to shop for, here's a quick guide on great gifts to give the sneakerhead in your life.

1. Sneaker Cleaner

A single bottle of sneaker cleaner will keep a shoe rotation looking fresh well into the new year. Jason Markk is the most high-profile brand of cleaner out there, but a number of local brand such as Let's Clyde do the job just as well.

2. Jogger Pants

Arguably started by US clothing brand Publish, the jogger pant has blown up into the mainstream. Now, it's a pretty common sight to see guys and girls alike in jeans and chinos with elastic cuffs, falling right above a fresh pair of sneakers. If you want to spoil the sneakerhead in your family, score him/her a pair of Publish joggers from Sole Academy. But with how popular they are now, it's not hard to score a pair from online sellers to big name mall clothing brands like Forever 21 and Folded & Hung.

3. Actual Clothes

Drool-worthy sneakers are one thing, but what's the point in showing off some sick kicks when the rest of your look is wack? Like it or not, sneaker culture these days has to be viewed within the larger contexts of "style" and "fashion". It's time to look past the cap and tee to match the kicks. Think smart outerwear, properly-cut jeans, and shirts that fit well. Jason Sudeikis' sneaker game is pretty deep. And he gets to wake up to Olivia Wilde every morning. Take it from him.

4. Shoes, of course!

No surprise here. What sneakerhead in his/her right mind would refuse a free pair of shoes? Whether it's a long sought-after grail, or something from the bombardment of sneaker releases expected over the holiday season, hook a sneakerhead up, and he/she will be eternally grateful. Unless you give the wrong size, of course.
