Nike SB Dunk High Premium "31st State"

Damn, it must be good to be Theotis Beasley.

Another classic from the Nike Skateboarding archive gets re-imagined as a high-top.

Following the release of the "Tiffany Diamond" Dunk Highs earlier this year, the much-beloved "Cali/31st State" SB Dunks will hit retail in high-top form. The release is as much a natural extension of the low-tops as they can get. The colorway remains loyal to the California flag, and the star detailing finds its home on the ankle areas.

With California's deep connection to skateboarding (and the status of the Cali Dunks among SB collectors), expect this release to sell fast. These dunks will be hitting nike.com and select Nike SB retailers in limited quantities on August 30. No word if any local stockists will be carrying them, but that information will be relayed as soon as word comes through.

Will the trend of re-imagining classic Nike SB sneakers in different cuts carry on? Only time will tell. Check out more looks after the jump.

Update 9/12/2014:

We Legendary will be releasing them tomorrow at their Ronac store. The drop will happen at 2PM. You know the drill, first come, first served.

The FILA Grant Hill III Will Return.

FILA keeps the 90's basketball sneaker resurgence strong as they're primed to re-launch Grant Hill's third signature sneaker. After the re-launch of Hill's two previous FILA sneakers was met with much enthusiasm from many sneakerheads, the Grant Hill III (Now called the FILA 97) looks to keep the retro love going well into the end of the year.

There's no word yet on whether these shoes will hit local stores. But since Grant Hill's first two shoes did, it doesn't seem like a stretch thinking the 97 won't be too hard to cop. The release date has been set for October 10.

Adidas Originals x Rita Ora Footwear Collection

The Adidas Originals line is no stranger to collaborations with high-profile creatives such as artists, musicians, and fashion designers. This time, one of the latest personalities to link up with the brand is British singer Rita Ora. Aside from releasing a collection of apparel, the songstress extends her design sensibilities with a small line of footwear as well. All shoes in the collection are done up in black with diamond snakeskin textures, and complemented by yellow and glow-in-the-dark accents. Aside from a ZX Flux 2.0, included in the small run are a couple of high-tops that go heavy on old-school basketball and high fashion sneaker aesthetics.

Look for the Adidas Originals x Rita Ora collection to be available both in-store and online starting August 21.

Y-3 Yohji Boost Black/White

Designer Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 label released their take on the Adidas Pure Boost sneaker a short while back. Named the Yohji Boost, the upper is constructed with a lightweight breathable mesh that sports a black and white pattern that flows well into the Adidas Three-Stripe branding. A semi-rigid suede heel and tongue provide bits of extra support while a white midsole constructed with Adidas' signature Boost technology provides ample levels of comfort. As these sneakers are in high demand, interested buyers can pick up a pair at Y-3 Rockwell before the extremely limited stock sells out.

Nike KD7 "Calm Before The Storm"

Kevin Durant may be in the midst of a contract situation regarding his shoe sponsors, but that hasn't stopped Nike from steadily rolling out his latest signature sneaker. The newest rendition to hit retail stores is nicknamed the "Calm Before The Storm". Taking inspiration from the unpredictability of the forces of nature, designer Leo Chang brings to life a sneaker that fits the dynamic nature of reigning NBA MVP's game. Dominantly decked out in grey with contrasting pink accents, the shoe is said to represent a tranquil sky before the onset of a powerful storm. Clearly a nod to the "Weatherman" theme that's been running through Kevin Durant's sneaker line.

Will Nike and Kevin Durant's run stop at 7 sneakers? Only time will tell. But if you're feeling this one, it will be available at Titan and other Nike Basketball stores starting this weekend.

Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low "Beethoven"

Shortly after the release of the "Michael Jackson" low-cut Kobe 9 Elites last month, another colorway taking its inspiration from a musical icon is about to make its way to stores. Somehow using Ludwig Van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony as a jump-off point, this Kobe 9 Elite Low weaves white, wolf grey, and black Flyknit together to create a clean upper that sits flush on a speckled and carbon-fiber outfitted midsole. The look is timeless, just like the quality of Beethoven's music. And given the mix of neutral colors, these shoes are primed to look good both on and off the hardwood.

Are you prepping an Ode to Joy dedicated to this forthcoming release? Well you won't have to wait long, as they're slated to hit Titan stores and those of select Nike Basketball retailers tomorrow, August 16th.

Vans Classics Vintage Pack

Just in time for fall, Vans reimagines two of the brand's most popular silhouettes in a palette of subtle and muted colors. The Authentic and Old-Skool are constructed with suede uppers, sporting a range of colors that include evergreen, quarry, grave wine, and shitake. The suede gets broken up by the inclusion of canvas tongues, leather jazz stripe branding, and the use of a midsole treatment to give them a more vintage look.

There's no word on how soon we can expect them in local Vans concept stores, but they're up for grabs on the Vans online store.

Nike Air Huarache Run QS "Love/Hate" Pack

With the current demand for retro running sneakers going strong, local sneaker retailer Sole Academy takes it upon themselves to introduce a classic runner rarely seen available in the country. Since its debut in 1991, the Air Huarache remains to be one of the defining sneakers in the history of Nike's running sneaker line. Pictured here is the silhouette done up in a "Love" colorway. Serving as one half of a two sneaker pack, both sneakers are built with a mesh base, suede overlays, while the trademark neoprene and lycra sock liner will be sure to hug the feet of local sneakerheads long starved of a local Huarache release.

The "Love" Colorway will be available via the Sole Academy Web Store later today at 3 PM. The "Hate" colorway is expected to drop soon.

Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi Classic Slip-On

Vans collaborates once again with Taka Hayashi for a new round of Vault releases. This time, the designer/artist applies his signature Native American inspired aesthetic to the classic Vans Slip-On.
