Check Out Three Upcoming Colorways of The Nike LeBron 12

With the NBA season well underway, the 12th sneaker in LeBron James' Nike signature line has enjoyed a ton of visibility on the feet of King James himself. While its local launch happened very recently, it looks like Nike is going full speed with three new LeBron 12 colorways slated to drop over the course of the holiday season.

Each colorway is inspired by sports science. Specifically, all the number crunching and data gathering that grounds just how fast, strong, and explosive LeBron James is when he's on the court. In terms of storytelling, the inspiration points are pretty novel, and the execution as a whole plays rather well with the futuristic design of the LeBron 12 silhouette. Hit the jump for a look into all three upcoming colorways and some words straight from Nike regarding their design.

Adidas Consortium Tubular

With the release of the much-anticipated Adidas Tubular just a day away, some looks at an Adidas Consortium versions of the runner have made the rounds on the internet. In terms of style, both colorways are as simple as they come. The addition of snakeskin to certain parts of the uppers gives them a more luxe look, drawing even more comparisons to the Qasa from Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 label. No word on an exact date of release, as well as a definite set of stockists. But if you know a shop with an Adidas Consortium account, better keep posted to their social media accounts as these won't stay on shelves for long.

Y-3 Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

With a little over a month to go before the new year, Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto's Y-3 label recently unveiled their Spring/Summer collection of footwear. Primarily executed in black and white save for a few tasteful deviations, the range is as solid as what is usually expected from the brand. The Qasa silhouette will be making a return alongside a redesigned low-cut version, Laver slip-ons, Kaohe Sandals, and the Held 2 high top. The range also includes new styles such as the Qasa Retro Boost and the Kohna Futuristic - the midsole design of which might bear a resemblance to the Reebok Insta Pump Fury. The collection is available already for pre-order through some overseas stores, but local Y-3 shops should be expected to have them in stock next year.

Vans x Sublime Sk8-Hi

California skate footwear brand Vans is hardly a stranger to collaborating with bands. Over the years, we've seen tie-ups with Slayer, Metallica, Bad Brains, and Kiss to name a few. This time around, they link up with Sublime, another California original. Borrowing artwork from the band's 1992 debut album, the print is used as an upper for the timeless Vans Sk8-Hi model, while the band's logo decorates the tongue and midsole as well. If you're a fan of the band's tunes, or just a fan of Vans in general, you better act fast as only 300 of these shoes will release through the Vans and Sublime websites.

Nike's Mercurial Superfly CR7 Goes Out of This World

If you're a football fan, you've probably heard that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been on a tear as of late, blasting goals home left and right. Fitting his tremendous run of form, Nike has released a signature makeup to their Mercurial Superfly football shoe, marking the first time a CR7 look gets used on the Flyknit cleat. These cleats made their on-field debut on Ronaldo's feet during the most recent "El Clasico" - a Spanish League fixture that pits Real Madrid against fellow football giants FC Barcelona. Though primarily done up in black, a special form of NikeSkin gives the upper a shimmering effect, quite a nod to Ronaldo's otherworldly set of skills on the football pitch.

If you're digging the look but not feeling the use of Flyknit for football, lower tier non-Flyknit versions of Nike's latest CR7 model are available as well at specialty football shops such as BootCamp.

Adidas x Neighborhood NH Shelltoe

German sportswear giants Adidas team up once again with Japanese streetwear legends Neighborhood on a collection of Native-American inspired apparel and footwear. While the clothes are as cool as one can regularly expect from a tie-up between both brands, the footwear choices offered by the range could stand as a small collection of their own. One of the models included in the series is the NH Shelltoe. Taking inspiration from the classic Adidas Superstar look, this new silhouette comes in two looks - a subtle black/light bone colorway with suede uppers and beaded stripe detailing, and a Dark Clay/Chalk style that employs a leather upper and an all-over jacquard print.

Both pairs will be dropping in limited quantities over at The SneakPeek today. Keep tabs on their social media outlets to find out the release details.

Adidas Originals Makes a Statement with The Veritas Mid

Hot on the heels of the recently unveiled Tubular sneaker, Adidas Originals is introducing another new shoe to close out the year. Dubbed the Veritas Mid, this new mid-top sneaker takes some of the brand's sporty design cues and fashions them into a minimalist silhouette that leans heavily into casual wear territory. The first string of releases comes in the form of the "Statement" Pack - a small drop that features the sneaker done up in two contrasting looks. Personally, the printed black editions are all fine and dandy, but it's the textured white pair that really gets my attention.

If Philippine Adidas stores are All In with the rest of the world, then expect to see these shoes in stores come November 15.

Adidas Originals Introduces The Tubular

When leaks first hit the internet, people assumed that these were part of Kanye West's forthcoming signature line with Adidas. Unfortunately, they aren't. But that doesn't take anything away from how slick this shoe looks. Taking some design cues from the Adidas ZX Flux NPS and the Y-3 Qasa, the Adidas Tubular is a silhouette that's poised to take hold in the lifestyle running sneaker market. The global release is happening on the 21st of November. Fingers crossed for our local Adidas stores to be aligned with the date as well.

Jason Markk Unveils Repel

Any sneaker collector knows that a good deal of time and effort goes into keeping shoes fresh. In terms of cleaners, Jason Markk is pretty established as far as these things go. Now, the brand's hold on the sneaker care game is about to get tighter with the release of its newest product, "Repel". While the brand's cleaning solution takes out dirt and grime from your kicks, "Repel" is geared to protect your shoes from getting messed up in the first place. The product is a water-based solution that creates a breathable barrier against water and stains. It's also been said to be safe for use on a number of materials such as leather, nubuck, canvas, nylon and more.

Currently, the product is only available through the Jason Markk website and offered for shipping within the United States. So if you've got some US-based hookups, it might be a good time to look them up.

Air Jordan Retro 1 High Black/White

Last seen as part of a 2008 Countdown Pack release, the Black/White Air Jordan comes back to retail all alone and in OG form. That means the shoes will release with "Nike Air" branding on the tongue, and a lot of sneakerheads foaming at the mouth to get their hands on a pair. Sporting black and white leather panels, this Air Jordan 1 falls under the sneaker's more subdued makeups. But if you've been in the collecting game long enough, you know they won't last long when they hit shelves this weekend. Check with your local sneaker retailers with Jordan Brand accounts to find out how you can get a pair.

Spot more looks after the jump.

Sneaker Spotlight - Adidas ZX Flux

Sneaker Spotlight is a new section of my blog that breaks down sneakers in my current rotation and what makes them worth the cop. Breaking things off is the Adidas ZX Flux.

Since its debut earlier this year, the Adidas ZX Flux has been on quite a run. Taking visual cues from the Adidas ZX running line and stripping down most of their performance add-ons, the ZX Flux offers an aggressive, streamlined look. What I have on in the pictures are the Infra-Reds from the "Base Color" Pack.

In terms of comfort and on-foot feel, don't expect to get that plush, spongy feeling offered by other shoes in the lifestyle runner market. What you do get is supportive cushioning for your feet thanks to the presence of Adidas' Torsion Bar technology placed in the soles. You won't exactly be walking on clouds, but your feet won't be killing you even after a long day on-foot either.

The uppers of mine are made from a mesh material that gets cleaned easily. And the very characteristics of the upper make them very breathable, great for those who value ventilation when it comes to shoe choices.

Overall, the Adidas ZX Flux is a great choice if you're in the market for a shoe that marries sporty heritage and casual appeal. I don't know about you, but they're definitely a lock for a spot in one of the ten best sneakers to drop this year.

The Adidas ZX Flux is available at your local Adidas stores in a number of different colors and dressed up in numerous graphics and patterns. Those of the creative persuasion can customize your own with the Adidas #MiZXFlux app!
