Timeless sneakers that should blow up next year.

The fashion world's love affair with sneakers doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. But then again, the fashion world is a crazy place. Nowadays, in this country at least, all the glory seems to go to classic, unassuming sneakers that a few years ago, were always available on the shelves of any shoe store you'd hit up. It's crazy to think that general release level sneakers would create lineups on the level of some limited edition drop. And folks who used to camp out to make a quick buck on Air Jordans are now trying to flip Stan Smiths and Superstars just to cash in on the hype.

Don't get me wrong, both shoes are timeless and more than deserving of a spot in anyone's sneaker rotation. I'm just saying there are more shoes out there that are big on history, always available, and always look great on feet. So, here's a little rundown on timeless sneakers people should pay more attention to next year.

Puma Suede

Originally released in 1968, the Puma Suede has gone on to become one of the brand's most iconic sneaker styles. Aside from having established a solid legacy on the hardwood, the simple low-top design and signature elements such as suede construction, textured midsoles, and Formstripe branding lend themselves well to a number of looks. With Rihanna reworking the silhouette not too long ago, hitting the tipping point for a Puma Suede resurgence might not be too far behind.

Vans Slip On

Through the years, the Vans Slip-On reworked in different materials, as well as the canvas for a number of brand and designer collaborations. However, the classic checkered ones always seem to be the essence of California cool. Skateboard skills always come separately though.

Adidas Rod Laver

Cut from the same minimalist cloth as the Stan Smith, the Rod Laver signature shoe is proof enough that there's much more to the Adidas tennis archive. Now, if only local distributors had them in stock.
